Department of MCA

The Department of MCA organized a seminar on “Advanced Technologies in Current Trends” on 30th September 2016. Mr.T.RaviKumar from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, ALIET Vijayawada, was the resource person.

MCA Department, conducted a Guest Lecture on the topic “Career Awareness Program”, on 29th Aug 2016 in the PG Department. Dr. T.SriKumar from Department of Physics, ALC Vijayawada, was the resource person. Dr. T.SriKumar, started the talk with giving a brief statistics on the current employability status of MCA students. His talk  focused on the recent industry trends in software field. He listed down more than fifteen roles/designation currently being practiced in the core companies; their skill set requirement, companies name, job responsibilities etc and explained the career growth ladder. Dr. T.SriKumar emphasized on the importance of right mix of knowledge, attitude and additional skills for a successful career. The talk provided the students a platform for sharing their thoughts and was endowed with proper guidance regarding all the aspects of career in software field.

MCA IVth Semester student Siva Ravindranath(NMCA 23) has given a seminar in the afternoon session on computer security and Ethical hacking. IInd and IVth semester students attended the program.       Mr.Siva Ravidranath explained the risks involved in the use of internet and precautionary steps that have to be followed. He demonstrated a few of the hacking process with the help of tools.

·          MCA staff and first year students visited to donate fruits and blankets to old age home “ Little Sisters of Poor ” at Nambur (Guntur District) on 21 st Dec 2015.

MCA Final year and Second year students visited L&T Medha ITSEZ.An interactive session held with Mr.Vijay & team of IndMax Inc from which our students gained valuable insights about the Security maintenance in software applications.

Dear friend, but if a   while I think of thee, all joys   are restored and sorrows end. RAVURI JYOTSNA , a newly joined   1 st year MCA student   met with an accident and left   the world on 3 rd september 2015 .Students were left in astonishment and wanted to do something in her name. “We may not have everything   together but together we have everything ”. All the hands were joined together and they have collected Rs 15,000 and donated it to a student in ALCAA. They also wanted to make the campus clean and green and as a promotion for “SWACHH BHARAT ” , students made the garden   clean and planted   trees. The program was organised in collaboration with NSS   unit   under the dynamic leadership of our Vice Principal Rev   Fr Dr A Rex Angelo   SJ. NSS co-ordinator Sankar and   all the departmental faculty   and students participated in the activity.

A guest Lecture was delivered by Sri Dr.U.B.Pavanaja, a scientist at BARC Mumbai,a member of Internet Society Wikipedia on the topic 'Trends and Techniques in IT'
