ANTI-RAGGING  CAMPAIGN held over in Andhra Loyola College by the Department of MCA 

Ragging, a once prevalent practice in educational institutions, has left scars on countless students, affecting their physical and mental well-being. However, the fight against this demeaning tradition has led to the emergence of various initiatives aimed at creating safer spaces for learning.

So MCA department took the initiative to run an Anti-Ragging campaign.

This includes:

                                     *DEBATE 

                                      *ESSAY WRITING

                                      * POSTER PRESENTATION  

DEBATE:

These debates equip students with the ability to articulate their thoughts effectively and encourage them to think critically about their stance on ragging and the steps needed to eradicate it.





Essay Writing

. By researching and composing essays, students not only gain a comprehensive understanding of the issue but also develop critical thinking skills. These essays contribute to a repository of knowledge that can be used for further advocacy and policy improvement.






 Poster Presentation

Students creatively design posters that showcase the stories of survivors, statistics related to ragging incidents, and the legal consequences perpetrators can face. This activity not only educates but also sparks empathy among students, fostering a sense of unity against ragging.

    On 10 th October the Department of MCA organized one day industrial Visit to NRT TECH PARK (Managalagiri) 2018 for DMCA Students under the guidance of  h onorable Vice-PrincipalRev.Fr.Rex Angelo..S.J .      The Department of MCA organized one day Industrial Visit to NRT TECH PARK(Mangalagiri) on 10th of October 2018 for DMCA Students.  Visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Honorable Vice-Principal Rev.Fr.Rex Angelo,.S.J. It was supported by HOD Mrs.Poonam along with Department staff Mrs. Manjula Rani, Mr. Anand, Mr. Pagalla Bhavani Shankar and programmer Mrs. Keerthi. Total 42 students and 4 staff and 1 programmer visited the NRT TECH PARK. The students got benefited in terms of technical details provided by the company on an important part of Internships & Recruitment Policy of Company.

In Andhra Loyola college, Vijayawada, the Department of MCA organized a Guest Lecture on Research Perspectives of Computer Science: Approaches & Opportunities on 22,december, 2023.   The guest lecturer for the event was Pagalla Bhavani Shanka, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University College of Engineering and Technology, Krishna University . During the lecture, Mr. Bhavani Shanka emphasized the growing importance of the researches. He explained seven steps of research process during the session. The speaker highlighted the era of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
