Samiksha IT Event: A Platform for Students
to Showcase Tech Talent and Beyond
SUBHEADLINE: Department of MCA Organizes
Annual Event to Foster IT Culture, Networking, and Innovation
Bishop Mummadi Ignatius seminar hall, 26th
and 27th July 2024 - The Department of MCA is proud to announce the
organization of Samiksha, an annual IT event designed to engage students in the
culture of the IT environment. This event aims to extend students' professional
networks, share knowledge, and explore future technologies through various tech
and non-tech activities.
Activities
Samiksha features an array of technical
events, including:
- Code & Debug: A coding competition to
test students' programming skills
- Poster Presentation: A showcase of
innovative ideas and projects
- Idea Tech: A platform for students to
pitch their startup ideas
- Tech Talk: Expert sessions on emerging
technologies
- Blind Tech: A coding challenge with a
twist
- Quiz: A test of students' knowledge in IT
and related fields
- Dance: A dance competition to showcase
students' creative side
- Mr & Mrs Samiksha: A personality
contest to crown the event's ambassadors
- Spot Photography: A photography contest
to capture the event's essence
- Paper Presentation: Each Participant
showcased the problem that is been faced by the society and presented it on the
paper

Typing Master: All students showed their
interest in unlocking their typing skills.
- Best From Waste: Participants showed
their interest in moulding the waste matter
to useful things by thoughtful process
Inauguration Guests:
Shri.D. Dhana Chandu (Co-Initiator
Founder & CEO): ) Delivered a speech about startup ecosystem. He explained when,
how and why to go for startups. He briefed about creation of case studies from
real life situations.
Shri.V.Ajay Kumar (Co-Founder & CFO of
Co-Initiator) Delivered a speech about the case studies of start-up ,the
booming factors of IT and how government is encouraging the startup ecosystem
Samiksha aims to provide a platform for
students to:
Enhance their IT skills and knowledge, Network
with peers and industry experts, Showcase their innovative ideas and projects&
Develop their soft skills through non-tech events
Students from various colleges of Andhra
Pradesh and universities are invited to participate in Samiksha. The event
promises to be an exciting and enriching experience, with prizes and
recognition for winners. Around 250 students Participated in the event. The
Sarath Chandra IAS Academy had won the overall championship
Valedictory guests:
Mr. Ahmed Syed (Technical Lead,
Birlasoft): attended the event and wished the
department of MCA with his memorable speech.
Shri.K.Saket Reddy (Co-Founder &
Chief Management Officer-Kodganon IT Solutions PVT LTD) described how innovation leads to various job opportunities, about
unicorn startups and their hurdles, how one entrepreneur should behave like and
think like.
"Samiksha is more than just an event - it's an experience. We aim to create a platform where students can learn, grow, and showcase their talents. We're excited to see the innovative ideas and projects that will be presented this year," said Dr.R.P.L.D.B. Poonam, Head of the Department of MCA.
